MAXTON - A $1,000 reward is being offered for information on the whereabouts of a Maxton man missing since July 7, 2004.
Delwin “Little Dee” Locklear, 29, was last seen in woods behind his home.
The Community United Effort Center in Wilmington is offering the reward through July 28. Searches by law enforcement officers and volunteers using dogs and all-terrain vehicles have failed to locate Locklear. CUE volunteers from Virginia searched for Locklear last week in an undisclosed location. Another search is planned. Tips will remain confidential if requested.
Locklear is an American Indian, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his upper arms. One has the word “Lumbee” and one depicts praying hands.

Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance. Delwin Locklear, of Nina Dr., Maxton was last seen on July 7, 2004. Locklear was 27 years old when he went missing. Locklear was last seen at his residence on Nina Drive.

Characteristics:
Native American/Male Height: 5’07” Weight: 185 pounds Eyes: Blue Hair: Graying dark brown

Locklear had a goatee at the time of his disappearance. His nickname is Little Dee. Locklear has a three-inch-tall tattoo of praying hands on the inside of his left wrist and a one- to two-inch-tall tattoo of the word "Lumbee" on his upper right arm. His left ear is pierced. He has a small strawberry birthmark on the back of his neck under his hairline and scars across the insides of both his wrists. His shoe size is 9 1/2, his pants size is 38, and his shirt size is XL.

Robeson County man desperate to find son missing for 16 years

MAXTON, NC — Delton Locklear said he's desperate for answers in the disappearance of his son, Delwin Locklear, who went missing on July 7, 2004.

Locklear said he hasn't seen his son in the past 16 years.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case unit featured Locklear's missing person's case last April in an effort to gain new leads.

The department posted the following information seeking the public’s assistance:

Details of Disappearance​

It is believed that Delwin was last seen in a wooded area behind his residence in the vicinity of the 200 block of Nina Road in Maxton, North Carolina on July 7, 2004. He has never been heard from again. An extensive search of the Maxton area has not turned up any clue as to Locklear's whereabouts. His case remains unsolved.
