SILVER ALERT: Pitt County Sheriff's Office searching for 89-year-old woman

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 89-year-old Doris Baker Evans went missing Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say she was last seen on Fire Tower Road in a white 2005 Ford Five Hundred sedan with the North Carolina license plate number WTY7570.

Evans is described as having short gray hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 150 lbs.

Anyone with information about Evans is asked to call the Pitt County Sheriffs Office at 252-830-4131 or 911.
