The body of a 20-year-old man who was reported missing from Asheville more than a month ago has been found, according to relatives.

A statement posted on behalf of his parents to a Facebook group titled "Help us find 20 year old Gabriel Focaracci," said the young man's body was found about 1 p.m. Monday.
McDowell County Sheriff's Office confirmed Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, that the human remains found last month in the Curtis Creek area were those of missing man Gabriel Focaracci.
The N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the body's identity.
Officials said no foul play was suspected.
Focaracci had been missing since June 24, 2022, when he was last seen at his Asheville home.
“We send our condolences to the family of Mr. Focaracci," said McDowell County Sheriff Ricky T. Buchanan, “and we hope this brings some closure for them. I am very proud of the efforts by our detectives, along with our partnering emergency service agencies that assisted with this search and recovery.”
