Jason Phillips, 39, is 6 feet, 1 inch tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Phillips told a co-worker that he was going to Greer, South Carolina, to locate parts for a vehicle and has not returned. He does not have a functioning vehicle, and his method of travel is unknown. He was last seen on or about Aug. 26 in the Flat Rock area of Henderson County.

This guy has been missing for a while, and there's very little information. However, it did bring to mind a UID found in Greenville County, SC in September. I hope it's unrelated, but the location found is around 35 minutes from where he was last seen. I have not started a UID thread as no information regarding gender, age, etc. has been released since the discovery. This UID is one I have been following closely for updates.

TY for the map, @KatzEye! I used your map to add on his destination of Greer, SC (where the red marker is:

Where the remains were found is probably not on the shortest route from Flat Rock, NC to Greer, SC, but it doesn't seem that far away from possible routes--but where the remains were found doesn't seem to be close to anything! Keep us posted if you find any identification of the remains. TIA!
