December 20, 2018- Jimmy Lee Dillard, age 87, of 226 Pierce Lane, Reidsville, NC, was reported missing by a family member to the Reidsville Police Department yesterday, December 19, 2018. Dillard was last seen at the Reidsville Senior Citizens Center on December 6, 2018.

Reidsville Police Department Investigators are working with Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department Investigators in locating Dillard. Anyone with any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Jimmy Lee Dillard is asked to contact Sergeant Hatfield at 336-634-7620 or anonymously contact Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.

Search for missing Rockingham County man reveals homicide investigation

Investigators with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and the Reidsville Police Department have determined the death investigation at a Reidsville home is now a homicide investigation.

The investigation centers at a home located at 226 Pierce Lane in Reidsville.

Deputies say the victim is believed to be Jimmie Lee Dillard, 87, of Reidsville.

Man charged with murdering father in Reidsville

Early Friday morning, the sheriff's office announced his son Johnnie Lee Dillard, 61, had been arrested and charged with first degree murder in his father's death.

Johnnie Lee Dillard is being held with no bond.

**UPDATE- Investigators with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and the Reidsville Police Department have determined the death investigation on 226 Pierce Lane, Reidsville, NC to be a homicide. The victim is believed to be Jimmie Lee Dillard, positive identification of the victim is pending by the NC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Johnnie Lee Dillard, age 61, of 226 Pierce Lane, Reidsville, has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder.**
