On 06-27-18 Jocelyn Hernandez was involved in a vehicle accident on Raleigh Road Parkway at I-95, in Wilson, NC. Officers were unable to locate her when they arrived on the scene. Our continuing investigation has indicated that she may have intentions of harming herself. The Wilson Police Department is currently attempting to locate Ms. Hernandez. Please look at the attached photos and be on the lookout for her.

Rocky Mount, N.C. — Wilson police have identified the body found near Interstate 95 Thursday morning as 21-year-old Jocelyn Hernandez.

Officers were dispatched to an accident scene, where they found Hernandez on the northbound side of I-95 at about 9:50 a.m.

The area was near the place Hernandez disappeared Wednesday following a crash.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the area of Raleigh Road Parkway and I-95 after a Wilson County Sheriff’s deputy located a single vehicle crash with no one inside, according to officials.

Police searched for Jocelyn Hernandez, who was identified as the operator of the vehicle, police said.

An organized search was conducted, Stroud said.

Police used the Detective Division, Special Response Team, Victim Assistance Unit, departmental drone and social media notification of the search.

“Members of the Wilson Police Department searched the accident area, surrounding areas, and inside the city,” Stroud said. “As result of the investigation of the accident, it was discovered that Hernandez was making suicidal statements to friends and family prior to the accident.”

BBM. A single vehicle crash and she had been making suicidal threats prior to the crash. This makes me think the crash was intentional. JMO.
