Wilmington Police Department is searching for a missing woman.

WPD says Lanielle Murrell was wearing a long multicolored red and yellow dress when she was last seen on May 21, 2019.

She is described as 5’8″ tall, has a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call WPD at (910) 343-3609 or use Text-A-Tip.

This is strange. A post on Lanielle's FB profile assuming to be her stated she was safe and would contact Law Enforcement. But two days later MSM and WPD has her still missing. And daily others are sharing the missing post still.
Not sure why this is bothering me, but it does.

Nothing stated from her family or listed boyfriend.
Only a cousin from NY replied to her post on FB.
I was just wondering why local MSM and WPD not clarifying if she is safe. Her family is vetted to be local to her. Just strange.

I agree it is a strange situation. If she has returned, clearing the matter up with LE would be easy. She could just stop by the police station. I'm glad your continuing to check her posts.

I am so glad to hear that Lanielle was found safe! I have known her since she was young being my sister was in the same grade. The family is so sweet! Last time I saw her was a few years ago outside the college.
