Amanda is scheduled to be released from NC prison in August. if I remember correctly, she is supposed to go directly to Texas and serve another 20 years for the conviction that occurred there. I wonder if she will appeal or somehow get her sentence reduced there. Is that possible?

Woman convicted in Wake County murder, dismemberment will serve 20 years in Texas

Authorities transferred Amanda Hayes on Aug. 19 to a Texas prison, according to public records. She was serving a second-degree murder sentence in North Carolina in the death of husband's ex-girlfriend, Laura Ackerson.

The couple was tried separately, and Amanda Hayes was convicted of second-degree murder on Feb. 19, 2014. She was moved to the Texas prison on Aug. 19, according to records from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (DAC).
Hayes is due to serve a 20-year sentence for tampering with physical evidence, according to records from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
