Maurice D. Kornegay, 47, may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. Kornegay is described as a black male with brown eyes, approximately 5'11 and 200lbs.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black button-up, red coat with white sleeves, black pant and black, red and white shoes.

Kornegay was last seen on 1000 Sunset Pl. in Goldsboro and officials believe he may be heading to Florida. He may be driving a white 2012 Ford Fusion with a license plate number PHV-1038

Police in North Carolina say a man's body has been found in a lot adjacent to a shopping center.

Goldsboro police tell news outlets that the unidentified body was found in a metal trash bin in a lot near Berkeley Plaza on Monday.

Investigators don't know how the many died.

The man's body has been sent to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
