In North Carolina Court records the only record under the middle name Anne as listed in MSM (there's an Ann with lots of records but height is much different) is a Melissa Anne Norris being named as a beneficiary in a trust with multiple beneficiaries several years ago. That case listed her address at the time as Anchorage AK. Case No. 08E000904-100 Smart Search - eCourts Portal But I think that is NOT the missing Melissa Anne. Why? Her DOB is not listed in the NC court record to establish age but I tracked that person back to the Alaska address, and there was a court record listing her and a co-defendant that has the same last name as the surname in the trust first found in NC records. Not a criminal matter, looks to be a contract dispute involving less than $200. dated 2008. Case No. 3AN-08-05874CI Rentfro, Kurt vs. Fish Alaska Publications LLC There's also a recent (2023) dissolution of marriage (husband not the name in the other legal action) with spousal support. https://records.courts.alaska.gov/eaccess/searchresults.page THAT record lists a date of birth and it's May of 1976. 48 years old. So the NC and Alaska records are NOT the missing Melissa.

So basically, I struck out in finding anything on the missing woman but hopefully saved someone some time going down that rabbit hole.

Thanks! The court records for Melissa Ann didn't have a date of birth as they were mostly minor vehicular, but did list her as 5 feet tall, the missing woman is 5' 4". 4 inches is a fair difference in a female so I figured "different person" The New Hanover Sheriff also reported her middle name as being Anne. NHC Sheriff’s Office searching for missing woman So hopefully we can get a confirmation of the missing woman's height and correct spelling of the middle name. Thanks for further checking on the Melissa Ann. (I tend not to check white pages unless I don't have any other sources as they aren't always correct, I still don't show as being a resident of Illinois or Chicago and I've lived here 13 years.)
