Officers arrived on the scene and spoke to the mother, who alleged that the father of her 6-year-old child had come into her room in the middle of the night, threatened her with a gun and then fled with the child in the mother's vehicle, according to the PPD.

Polkton Police said an Amber Alert was never issued in this domestic case because, ‘there was no legal documentation establishing custody.’
Police searched for Roach but were unable to find him following the initial 911 call from the mother. A “Be On The Lookout” (BOLO) was issued for both Roach and the missing vehicle.
