WILSON COUNTY (WTVD) --
A mother and her son along with their significant others were shot and killed in Wilson County Saturday afternoon.

It happened in the 2200 block of Banks Lane East, just east of Wilson.

Deputies are investigating but have not released a motive for the shooting. No word yet on a suspect.

WILSON, N.C. — Three days after four people were found shot to death in a Wilson County home, family members have gotten few details from investigators and are growing increasingly frustrated.

Tammy Lynette Pearce, 54, her fiancé, Selby Gene Outland, 47, her son, Paul Shane Pearce, 28, and his girlfriend, Dominique Nicole "Nikki" Privette, 23, were found dead Saturday in the home they shared in the 2200 block of Banks Lane East.

The Wilson County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that two teams of deputies are working around the clock on the case, but they haven't yet determined a motive for the crime. They also refused to release any information about possible suspects, saying it could jeopardize the investigation.

Have seen all the Forensic Files episodes but they don't get old with his voice to listen to. A close second is the narrator on The First 48, another terrific voice. Such a gift.

i wondered if this was a murder suicide too, but it seems like they would have solved it sooner than this if so, not sure what to think now.

I was thinking the same thing initially. Murder/suicide. Now I don't know. I hope this shooting isn't over a dispute. That would more than likely mean the perp is still out there. Anyone who would shoot 4 people to death is very dangerous.

I would agree. The location/position of the victims and their wounds should be a tell-tale that it was one or the other. I think if it were a murder/suicide, LE would have made that distinction by now.

Man charged with quadruple murder in Wilson County on Christmas Eve

A man who has been in police custody since January was in the Christmas Eve murders of four people in Wilson County, according to authorities.

Dereck Harris, 29, was in custody for discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and a probation violation for a separate incident. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office on Monday charged him with four counts of murder.

Investigators said Tammy Pearce, her fiancé Selby Outland, her son Shane Pearce, and his girlfriend Nikki Privette were all found shot to death one day before Christmas last year. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office said it may have been drug related and that Harris knew at least one of the victims.
