Davidson County Sheriff David Grice has released new details in the homicide of the owner of Atlanta Car Co., who was found dead in her business off of Old U.S. Highway 52 on Jan. 25, 2013.
On behalf of Nancy Harvey's family, Grice made the formal announcement Thursday from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office that the family was upping the reward in their loved one's death to $100,000...
An autopsy report revealed Harvey's legs were tied up by zip ties, and there was a bag over her head with a zip tie around her neck. The report stated that "apparently bleach had been poured over the body and around the office," and her ankles were tied. The medical examiner found multiple blunt trauma essentially from the face to the upper thighs. Dr. Clay Nichols stated in the report Harvey died of asphyxiation.

"We feel like that someone felt that she was a good target for good cash, said Sheriff Grice.
Sheriff Grice said the investigation has narrowed. Investigators believe robbery was the motive. "Nancy Harvey was a strong-willed woman who apparently refused to submit to this robbery and we are going to do everything we can to bring justice, said Sheriff Grice.
