NC NC - Sandra Ross, 31, Apex, 8 Jan 1984

This case seems different to me. A only child close to family, good job, no major marriage problems. I don’t believe husband has anything to do with her disappearance. Her husband look in for her after only a hour does make me wonder if he was worried about her and if she was depressed at the time.

Just chiming in with my $ .02, but given what we're told, I honestly don't suspect the husband either. Her mother's remarks are rather intriguing. I wonder if someone from the hospital had been stalking or flirting with Sandra. That might explain the enigmatic statements of her mother (and possibly hubby's behavior, too), imo.

If it was the husband who ditched the car, how did he make his way back? It would have been a long walk back, so he would've needed public transport or hitched a ride. It seems no one recalled seeing him travelling back from the mall, although that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Sandra could have been abducted, but there were no signs of a struggle, and surely someone at the mall would have seen or heard something?
