Sheriff’s Office continues search for missing man

A missing person’s report was filed with the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 7 after no one had heard from Stephen Frederick MacGray for five days.
The last time that anyone had any verbal or visual contact of MacGray was around 4 p.m. on Jan. 3 when he had spoken to some of his family members on the phone.
According to sources familiar with the case, they stated that MacGray’s son contacted the Sheriff’s Office and met with deputies at the Roberson School Road residence where MacGray was living and filed a missing person's report.

All resources were put to use and authorities expanded the search area for MacGray to a nearly 10 mile radius, but didn’t have any luck finding him.

MacGray was frequently seen walking with one of his dogs down NC 111 North from his residence to either Roger’s Grocery or the Dollar General in Princeville. A number of people who are familiar with the area have commented on social media that they have seen MacGray walking down NC 111 in the past and he always had a dog that walked with him.

Missing man’s daughter charged with four felonies

After a month of following up on leads regarding a 63-year-old man that was reported missing more than a month ago by his son, one of his daughters has been charged with four felonies by detectives from the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges came after an extensive investigation that led authorities to discover that Stephen MacGray's debit card had been used multiple times since he was reported missing.
According to warrants that were obtained by the Tar River Times at the Edgecombe County Clerk of Courts Office, the warrants indicate that BN-LM* (name edited by me), of Boyd Court, Rocky Mount, was charged with financial card theft, identity theft, and two counts of obtaining property by false pretense.

I haven't been able to find any updates on the identities of these two people found in the creek. If the second body was Stephen's it would explain the silver alert cancellation. It's been a year since Stephen went missing. LE needs to give an update and/or make a new appeal for tips, imo. Who was she giving all that money to...somebody knows something.
