I feel for her family's pain - but the results of the autopsy showed Bromazolam, a designer benzodiazepine; synthetically manufactured drugs with unknown biological effects and health risks. Benzodiazepine was conceived in the 1970s but never brought to market as a medicinal drug, later showing up in the addiction landscape in 2016 and gaining some momentum since 2022. With properties akin to Xanax, (hypnotic and anxiety-reducing effects) it is NOT prescribed. Dangers of use are drowsiness and dizziness, loss of coordination (a decline in motor skills, increasing the risk of injury from accident) respiratory depression, coma and death especially when combined with opoids or alcohol. Based on the medical examner's findings (tox screen) it's likely she consumed some washed down with rubbing alcohol (rubbing alcohol can make you feel drunk but also has a moderate chance of killing you.). As to her being undressed? She died of hyopthermia and that is as likely from paradoxocal undressing from hypothermia as an assault IMO. Since earlied linked reports stated she had very recently been at the hospital for post partum depression, the behavior may have been intentional (self harm) or simply an accidental overdose, which the autopsy alone won't pinpoint. The 22-year-old’s autopsy shows levels of rubbing alcohol and Valium at “non-lethal levels.” She was found wearing only a bra, her mother says those are signs of a struggle.
“Where are her clothes at? Where is her hair? She only had three strands of hair left in her head. What about the gash on her forehead? She was found naked with no clothing on,” Crawford said.

Payton’s family plans to get another private autopsy. They are raising money through (fundraising page) to pay for the procedure.
