Recovered/Located NC - Vidalia Jane Freeman, 23, possibly abducted, Marion, McDowell Co., 5 Oct 2020

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — McDowell County authorities are searching for a woman they say was possibly kidnapped Monday night.

Vidalia Jane Freeman, 23, of Spruce Pine, was last seen at 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct 5, 2020, at a residence on Old Toms Creek Road in Marion.

Authorities believe she is could be with Curtis Avery.

Freeman is described as a white female who stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs 163 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.

There are replies and new comments from an hour ago on the latest FB post. Hope these are true and she is safe and well. Perhaps family didn't approve of the person mentioned in MSM (CA) and thought she was in some type of danger. She's an adult and doesn't have to communicate with family or anyone she doesn't want to. So true, but so disheartening.

JMO, but if it's the Curtis Avery I'm finding I'd be having a nervous breakdown. Not a choir boy, but who is?

Hoping she has some compassion and shows her face to her loved ones. Pray they "get it" and don't resist, and go on control mode. Our kids even adults are still our kids. It's so difficult to get that, but with trust and what we taught them they should be alright.

In all these missing cases it's damned if nobody cared about you or damned if too much love is worse than none at all.

Detectives say they have spoken to a 23-year-old woman who they believe was possibly abducted in North Carolina, but she is still considered missing.
