April “AJ” Haut was reported missing on Wednesday afternoon after she ran away from home earlier in the day.

Several hours later, Williston police got word from detectives in Watford City that Haut was at McDonald’s in Williston, where she was seen in a vehicle with three other people. She ran away when officers approached, Watford City Police Chief Shawn Doble said.

Previous reports from law enforcement in Williston and McKenzie County said the teenager was endangered, but by Friday afternoon, Doble said there is so far no indication that she is in danger.

Haut was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and black pants. She is Hispanic, is 5’2”, weighs 120 pounds and has long dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has a small scar on the bridge of her nose and a baseball-sized birthmark on the left side of her back, according to a news release posted on Facebook by the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office.

Haut may also have recently cut her hair.

Investigators believe she could be headed to Denison or Sherman, Texas along with an adult man.
