“Come home.”

Those are the words of concerned family of Valene Little Bird. No one has heard or seen from Little Bird since August 2021. She was reported missing January 21st.

Little Birds sister Jaimee Stretches says it’s unusual for her sister to not come home. Only one year apart in age, Jaimee says her sister is, one of her best friends. “She always checks in with me, she’s never gone or never somewhere without me knowing her whereabouts all the time. It’s not her to be absent from me.”

"Circumstances of Disappearance
Valene Littlebird was reported missing by family members. The initial reporting party had not seen or heard from her since June of 2021. Upon interviewing relatives and friends, it was learned that a relative had face to face contact with her during the first week of December 2021, on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. She is considered homeless by her friends and family. Littlebird has family on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and in Bismarck, ND. She does not have a primary residence but was last seen in Fort Yates, ND which is on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. She also goes by the last name, Addison.

Agreed, let's all hope she is found alive and well in the very near future.

Unfortunately there seems to be a significant number of Native Americans who have disappeared recently across the US and Canada.
