Circumstances of Disappearance:
Laudenklos was last seen on May 19, 1973. He and his roommate started a canoe trip in Torrington, Wyoming and planned to canoe down the North Platte River that weekend back to Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

At about 7:00 p.m., while they were about one mile west of Henry, Nebraska, the canoe overturned while going over an irrigation dam. Laudenklos's roommate made it to shore and went to a nearby farmhouse and notified authorities when he couldn't find Laudenklos. Laudenklos had been wearing a life jacket at the time but it had not been fastened. It was found downstream.

Laudenklos is an Air Force veteran and was employed by the Nebraska State Department of Health at the time of his disappearance. He is presumed drowned.

In 1994, the sheriff's office received new information after Laudenklos' case was featured on a law enforcement TV show. After confirming the information, the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office reopened the case. The new evidence has not been publicly released.

Nothing? No updates since 1994?

I don't think they are giving this much attention. And this is a veteran AND a State of Nebraska employee. You'd think they'd at least give it more lip service if nothing else.
