BRUNING, NE — The Thayer County Sheriff is asking for the public's assistance as they try to find a man reported missing from the Bruning area. Jamie Balluch was last seen Thursday, February 2.

Bruning has a population of less than 300 people according to Wikipedia. The entire Thayer County has a population of just under 5000 people.

LINCOLN, NEB. — The Nebraska State Patrol is requesting assistance from the public in locating a person who went missing from Bruning, Nebraska on February 2. Jamie Balluch, 43, of Bruning, was last seen at his place of employment, Bruning Grain and Feed Company, on Thursday, February 2.

Balluch is believed to be missing under suspicious circumstances. He is described as a white male, 5’6” tall, 140 lbs., with blue eyes, brown hair, and a light beard. He was last seen wearing dark brown overalls and a dark brown coat.

BRUNING, Neb. (WOWT) - A Thayer County man reported missing out of a small town in south-central Nebraska has been found dead at his workplace.

Nebraska State Patrol reported Thursday that 43-year-old Jamie Balluch, who they had said they believed was missing under suspicious circumstances, was found dead inside a grain bin at the Bruning Grain and Feed Co., where he was employed.

State Patrol: No crimes in Bruning grain elevator death

State investigators won’t be asking for criminal charges in the death of a Bruning man in February.

A Nebraska State Patrol spokesperson said investigators found no criminal activity associated with Balluch’s death. He said an autopsy revealed a high blood alcohol content and evidence of pre-existing heart problems
