NE - Joseph Hellman, 37, murdered, Omaha, 29 Jan 2019 *arrest*

In February the Omaha Police Department was contacted by the Council Bluffs Police Department in regards to a missing person last seen in Omaha. Joseph Hellman was 37-years-old. According to a release, it was later determined the case was no longer a missing person but a homicide. The investigation revealed that Hellman was killed on January 29, 2019.

I can't find anything from last year about him being missing. Odd that this seems to be the first MSM mention of this. I haven't dug deeply, but I don't see anyone on SM looking for him either.
I'm heading to Omaha next week, I will see if anyone there heard about him being missing prior to this being released.

Council Bluffs man facing murder charges in 2019 missing persons case

• Nebraska court records say Dalton Dukes of Council Bluffs has been charged with first-degree murder of Joseph Hellman; and two weapons crimes.
  
• According to documents, prosecutors allege that after Dukes’ friend was sold fake meth, he tracked the seller down at a location in Douglas County.
• According to prosecutors, witnesses heard a gunshot, then saw Dukes leave the home with a body — and that Dukes admitted to shooting the victim.
  
• Prosecutors say Dukes drove to a campground along the Missouri River in Iowa, and put the vehicle in the water.
  
• Dukes is due back in court on April 3.
