The bodies of Vanderlei and Jaqueline Szczepanik have not been located.

Earlier this year, the court upheld its ruling against Jose Oliveira-Coutinho.

The Nebraska Supreme Court has upheld the first-degree murder convictions and three life sentences of a man who killed two Brazilian missionaries and their 7-year-old son in Omaha.

Jose Oliveira-Coutinho alleged numerous errors by the trial court in his appeal. On Friday, the state's high court rejected them all.

still missing: Vanderlei Szczepanik, Jaqueline Szczepanik and their 7-year-old son, Christopher, were killed by Jose Oliveira-Coutinho on Dec. 17, 2009. After Oliveira-Coutinho told police he dumped the bodies in the Missouri River, a diver found Christopher’s remains. But Vanderlei and Jaqueline remain on the list because their bodies haven’t been recovered.
