Hey Everyone, i am new in Here and i just want to know how this website works so i can be helpful for people and soon collaborate with other enthusiastic members to solve cases!

You can just jump right in by reading official information sources for crimes, missing or unidentified people etc.. (info sources are usually linked in the discussion threads),and weighing in with your thoughts and analysis of the information. Also read the faqs and guidelines so you don’t run afoul of the websleuth posting rules.

Hello and welcome to WS!

I think before jumping in you should start by reading the rules. Not doing so can cause a lot of well meaning posts to be removed and you don't want that. :)

I guess that depends on what your interests are. There are MANY cases going on at all times. Clicking on What's New on the bar at the top will show you recent posts, not necessarily recently made threads. Are you interested in missing persons? Murders? etc., etc.

I'm currently following the Moscow murder case, Delphi, which is about rounding up after almost 8 years (we're in the sentencing stage), Madeline Soto, Joshua McCoy, Elijah Vue, the Fall City murders (son killed 5 family members), Iliana 'Lily' Peters, just to name a few.

Definitely check out the What's New link to see what sorts of things people are currently posting to.

As for collaboration... there's collaboration in the main threads (MTs) and also in DMs (direct messages (private threads)), although the latter usually comes with time after people have started noticing that your posts are interesting enough to invite you to DMs to discuss certain cases that you've been posting in.

You picked a great site to become a member of IMO. WS does a good job of being fact based. Hence me mentioning that you should read the rules in order to keep it fact based. :)

There is also the Breaking News thread. Just note that's a No Discussion thread.

Welcom Jayd_il,
I see our members have given you great advice. Feel free to keep asking questions. You will find everyone to be very helpful.
Definitely read the rules, but always remember two things;
1- Don't be a jerk. Don't insult people or post rude comments about people's ideas
2- No rumors. We do not allow rumors. We also only allow social media in certain circumstances. Like law enforcement social media or mainstream media's social media.
Remember those rules, and you will be off to a great start.
