In the night of 11 December 1971,a mother,Ria Daane disapeared, leaving her husband Jan and her three daughters -(twins of four and a baby of one) - behind in their house in Koudekerk.
The couple had argued that night, Jan said later in the paper. 'Ria then suggested leaving and leaving the children and me alone. I got fed up with the fight and got to bed around ten o'clock. When I woke up at three o'clock, Ria was gone. Her clothes, her passport and a sum of money were gone too. "
But the family of Ria did not believe him. They had never trusted him, that son of a factory director, whose parents had never liked it,when their son started a relationshift with Ria.
And after a year and a half ,the police had no idea where Ria was, her father decided to go to the newspaper.
His message: Jan killed Ria. "If I get difficulties because of my statements, I do not care. I just want to know where my daughter is, or where she is buried. I do not ask for much
