The system isn't perfect. And many women who are being trafficked do not report to the police because of bad experiences with LE in their country of origin. Also, they may worry what will happen to their family at home.
If the family is involved in the crime, things become even more complicated.

Google translate is a great help btw if someone is literate. A friend of mine is a social worker and she uses Google Translate in 'conversations'. She says it is a huge step forward.
At my job (I’m a nanny + daycare worker), since it’s in a really diverse area, it has tons of immigrants from all over the world. I only speak 3 languages fluently; English, Spanish, and Russian, so I have to use Google translate for some things.

So possibly originally from Germany? I wonder if checking any missing persons databases in the other countries (Germany, Poland, Sweden, Russia) could help. I’m a Russian-American dual citizen and know a bit about Russian MPs and Doe cases, I could help with that, possibly.

It would be easy enough for her to be from Germany - Schiedam is only an hour's drive from the border. A family member of mine lives in Schiedam and prefers Germany for a day trip instead of somewhere in the Netherlands like Den Haag where they work on a daily basis.

Sari is no longer on the Interpol or YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company)'s website.
This article states: “According to Helsinki police, according to the latest information, Kainulainen was seen in Europe. About where in Europe, however, the police did not comment.”
Also, her age is quite off.

The case

In the Autumn of 2005, a red suitcase was seen lying in the canal at Thorbeckesingel, in a residential neighbourhood in Schiedam, the Netherlands. The suitcase was there for some time. A municipality landscape contractor took it out of the water. The suitcase was found to contain the body of a young woman.''
The investigation indicated that the victim spent her childhood in areas north and east of Germany and probably came from Northern Scandinavia, Poland, or Russia. The young woman probably moved around during her adolescence (possibly between ages 16 and 22). It is likely that she spent the last months of her life in Western Europe, possibly in the Netherlands.

The victim’s teeth were in very poor condition indicating that she had probably never been to a dentist.

Her body was wrapped in a white duvet cover with red/pink and blue flower pattern, and then put into a red suitcase. The suitcase was of the brand Line and was the largest of the 4-piece Albany Trolley Set. There was also an orange-coloured sheet in the suitcase.

I posted a missing person from Russia for a comparison in this thread, and I just got notified that it got deleted. While I'm not 'confident' in the comparison, I've never had that happen before, and there was nothing different to what I always do. Weird.
