A New Jersey dog left alone Friday evening managed to turn on the stove. Which then managed to set a laptop nearby on fire.

Luckily, Lacey Township firefighters managed to rescue the hound and put out the blaze. The dog wasn't even singed, though it sounds like the laptop's beyond all hope. No-one is sure how he managed to do it.

I know this could have ended in tragedy, but I couldn't help smiling. On the very rare occasions I don't take my dog out with me (once a year maybe), I get so worn down by the accusing looks I get when I get home. But at least he never tried to burn the house down!
