Pretty intense -- the solar eclipse gave you a second longer before blinding you for life!!

Can you imagine on resume or job application - reason for separation - I would think a future employer might not hire someone in that they would conclude that applicate might be a little "off"!

Let me see if I understand you stared for 6 seconds at a colleague and were let go ?

What sane person might not ponder ----ugh oh, I think applicant might have murdered a colleague or something!

Can you imagine after the interview when asked why the last applicant was not bought on --- he/she "says" they were terminated for staring at a colleague for 6 seconds -- yeh right!

Are they going to be hiring an individual for SS responsibility? A Stare Security type of position?

This kind of silliness often results in pondering how does someone even come up with such a nonsense. If I were in an argumentative mood I might ask why not 4 seconds? What about 8.5? Huh just answer me that!

She my little sister and I have a wicked sense of humor - older sister and father nah! Little sister and I laugh is actually similar!

I think there is a genetic wiring component to it it def is from our mother not our father - at all !!

Trust me -- in like grades 4-8 my teachers were not fond of my impulsive sense of humor and the "behavior" component, much to my fathers chagrin, of my report cards, heartily reflected that !!

Report card days, in the dining room, were not good days!!

OH FOR FLIX SAKE NETFLIX has banned film crews from looking at anyone for over five seconds in barmy no-flirting rules.

Others include no asking for workpals’ phone numbers — and urging staff feeling pestered to yell: “Stop! Don’t do that again!”

The blitz follows the Harvey Weinstein and Me Too sex abuse storms. One of the first shows hit is sci-fi series Black Mirror, being shot in West London and on location.

Netflix crew members mustn't flirt, give "lingering hugs" nor stare at anyone for "longer than five seconds," according to a series of updated sexual harassment policies obtained by the Sun.


Flirting and asking for a colleague's phone number are also reportedly forbidden. If an employee witnesses or experiences unwanted behavior, they must report it to management immediately, the report continued.



Netflix did not immediately return SFGATE's request for comment. In a statement to the Independent, the company said: "We're proud of the anti-harassment training we offer to our productions. We want every Netflix production to be a safe and respectful working environment. We believe the resources we offer empower people on our sets to speak up, and shouldn't be trivialized."

I think this is just silly and unnecessary. And the statement by Netflix is laughable. How does this overly protective, ultra sensitive set of rules 'EMPOWER PEOPLE'? I think it does quite the opposite.

Are people so fragile these days that they cannot allow a coworker to look at them for more than 5 seconds? Are people so fragile that they cannot deal with a coworker potentially flirting or asking them to coffee?

Netflix says their anti-harassment training shouldn't be trivialized. But I think it is trivial in the way it is written. It outlaws minor nuisances and makes all working interactions shallow and stilted.

I have worked on many film shoots. Workers need to interact closely with each other, for long hours. It is ridiculous that they would not look at each other, or develop any feelings or connections with each other. What a joke.

This new set of rules does nothing to circumvent the real sexual harassment issue---which is with people in authority, using leverage on the casting couch, etc. These rules have nothing to do with the Weinsteins of the Entertainment World.

Yeah I just think this has been severely taken out of context. I mean, the sun is a tabloid (owned by Murdoch), and that’s where this all stemmed from. I’ve also read the “rules” are actually “guidelines”, and IMO not surprising that Netflix is trying to cover their asses after Kevin spacey.
