'Littlest Pet Shop' hamster 'Harris Faulkner' draws lawsuit from Fox News anchor of same name

"Hasbro's portrayal of Faulkner as a rodent is demeaning and insulting," says the lawsuit, which was filed Monday in U.S. District Court in New Jersey.

The suit also notes that Faulker was “extremely distressed” to have her name attached to a potential choking hazard for young children, and states that the product harms the anchor’s journalistic credibility.

I've never heard of the new anchor and don't see the resemblance. The hamster has blue eyes I think the lady has brown. The hamster is yellow, the lady is not.

Now I'm off to see if we own that LPS hamster. :D

I see the resemblance in the shape of the eyes. Oh, and she wore a yellow top in the photo. At first I thought it was going to be named Hasbro, but I see her point, it's an unusual name to just come up with that combination...

Shape of the eyes is completely different. Hamster has big round blue eyes.

I know I shouldn't think this is funny but

"She filed a legal case saying the toy resembled her traditional professional appearance, including complexion, eye shape and eye make-up design."

That line right there makes me laugh so much. I can honestly say I've never looked at a toy hamster or animal anything and thought "that resembles me". I can see thinking they used her name intentionally but to say that the rodent resembles her? Not hardly.

I realize she's probably getting a lot of attention for this which is probably the main reason behind the lawsuit.

Rodent has a different complexion (yellow), round eye shape (her eyes are certainly not round), different eye color.
I don't think anybody would recognize that rodent as her if it wasn't for the name.

She should sue her parents for naming her "Harris". Ha Ha Ha is right! She could have laughed about it and been flattered! I see no resemblance at all between her human form and a plastic hamster. Sounds like she has some sort of identity issue.

OMG talk about a narcissist person...Everything isn't about YOU! The hamster is cute!

Wanted to add, LPS animals eyes are all big and cute like that hamsters..and I would have never known it was named after a lady on tv cause I'd never seen her...Dont watch tv much.

BBM Yes. That made me laugh when I read about this. I thought, if I looked like a hamster (or it looked like me) I would not be the one to admit it. :shame:

I do agree, though, that the naming of the toy must be more than coincidence since "Harris" is a very unusual name, especially for a female.
