On June 4, 1972, a fisherman found a woman's body lying face down in a wooded area near Hume Brook, New Hampshire. She was identified as 49-year-old Arlene Clevesy. It was found that she had died from traumatic asphyxia and drowning. Someone forcefully held her head underwater. Arlene Clevesy was found dead in a wooded area near Hume Brook (Newton/South Hampton town line) on June 4, 1972. The medical examiner ruled her death as homicide by traumatic asphyxia including drowning. The Cold Case Unit was unaware of this case until 2015, and a review and reinvestigation of the file has commenced.
