HLN just covered this case and stated that Celina was found wrapped in a blanket. That Step-father was being questioned by LE but was refusing to cooperate.
That a pickup had been loaded on a rollback truck and taken by LE.

If this has already been covered, sorry.

So, if that's the case, the blanket had to be secured to her body in some way - tape (Oh lord, please don't let it be duct tape. :( )? That would also lend to the idea that the body was weighted down like a "package" (sorry to be so graphic).

In any event, makes it seem a little more odd to me that a blanket was used to cover up the mom (Was it just her covered? I can't remember.).

I do hope they can make an arrest soon since this info. was broadcast on HLN. That's such a small town, and being that I live in one...I can't EVEN image knowing that the person responsible for this still walking around town a free person.

I don't know why,

But I keep thinking maybe she was wrapped in something like a sheet, or tarp

before being placed in the river...:waitasec:

That I think would be an instant sign that she had a suspicious death

Something they saw "visually" caused them to believe it was "suspicious" which in this group of LE translates to "almost certainly homicide."
I am afraid it was more than just being wrapped which caused Jane Young to react the way she did.
Jane Young and I are a lot alike... we don't get real emotional. We compartmentalize it to do what we need to do.

I only get emotional when it is something very close to home (a child who reminds me of my own) or it is something pretty bad.

I am hoping Celina just reminded Jane of her own child/grandchild. Otherwise... I think this might be worse than "normal."

Hitting the thanks button just did not seem like enough! I too was and still remain devastated over the loss of justice for Caylee but have faith and knowledge that justice WILL be served for Celina. I understand well the need to keep information "safeguarded" for use in a criminal investigation. I wasn't even disappointed in the televised briefing on the autopsy results.....I expected it and therefore felt fine. And I even believe that an arrest is imminent, more than likely in the next two weeks.

You rock MsFacetious!

I agree, in my opinion an arrest is imminent. I also believe in the next two weeks. Like I said, the only way I can see it taking longer is if it is a stranger crime... which is highly unlikely.

I have also noticed... Jane Young isn't asking for people to come forward with information on Celina's whereabouts PRIOR to her disappearance anymore. She still did that after Krista was found. Perhaps they have enough information that where she was prior to that isn't relevant?

And thanks. :seeya:

I do not think an 11 yr old gets up at 7 am and leaves all alone to go swimming, without telling anyone else. Swimming and fishing , for an 11 yr old, are social activities. You swim with friends and family. And you don't go to a river all alone at sunrise, secretly. I really doubt it happened that way. imoo

Wouldn't her fishing equipment be missing? Wouldn't there be a towel found at the drowning site if she just accidentally died while she was having a secret swim?

I think it is more likely that someone raped her and threw her in the river, sadly.

I have to unfortunately say I agree with you.

I hope we find the answers and justice soon.

MOO - thanks.

IMO -- she could have gone out on her own (swimming or fishing) or gone for a walk. But honestly, if it looked accidental, I think the presser yesterday would have been much different. My guess is that there was no water in the lungs, indicating she died before going in. Or that something was so obvious from the look of the body, that accident could visually be ruled out. Whatever the case, if this were anything but homicide, JY's body language and demeanor would have been much different. MOO.

My fear is that this is going to be like the Laura Smither's case. Of course no one can no for sure, but I"m afraid something was so wrong with the appearance of the body that it was obvious. I pray that's not it....

BBM: I thought the exact same thing. Something troubled her and she lost her composure, and that's unusual for her.

So which Step lived with CC, AL Jr or NN??? Or neither? Or, both?

The ONLY person I have ever seen referred to as "her brother" is KM, lol.

BBM
There is something about that whole situation that is bothering me. She has a half brother and a step-brother, but her FB is crammed with pictures of her so called 'big brother', KM, who is a family friend, NOT her brother. IMO, she seems a little too cozy with him. Obviously, I have my own baggage, so I may be judging him unfairly. Then again, I may be recognizing similar dynamics that I remember from my own childhood. At this point I cannot tell for sure.

I just really want to know where he was that evening. His truck was there the day the investigation started. So he was probably around when she went missing. Did he take a polygraph too?

You are correct the blanket would have to be held together somehow. I am pretty sure she did not slip into a river wrapped in a blanket. You would also think the blanket could be traced to somewhere. I wonder if it was a packing blanket (no pattern) or an obvious "home" blanket?

IDK....don't most kid's favor a certain pair of shoes? There are so many things I want to point out right now but will refrain. I could give an accurate description of what my child was wearing at any given time. Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't a parent be a little more involved/aware of what their 11yo wears on a daily basis?
Everyone is different, but in my household, pajama's are worn to bed. Had she changed into her PJ's?? Was she allowed to stay up after her parent's went to bed or did they tuck her into bed before they retired for the evening... 11 is pretty young to be staying up after the parents go to bed. I always peeked in on my kiddo's first thing in the morning, does anyone else do this?

I, on the other hand, barely notice what I am wearing (I have a wife to handle that sort of thing: "Sigh...Your shirt is on inside out Chris"), let alone making a mental note of my daughter or wife's wardrobe selections.

Adam Laro, Celina's biological father, says he is concerned about Celina's stepfather Wendall Noyes’ behavior since she vanished and was then found dead in the Connecticut River.

“Thing started to become different…something was weird - something was strange but I couldn't place it. Something was strange,”
said Adam Laro.

The brother and mother of Celina's stepfather said he is not doing well and asked the media to leave him alone.

I'm starting to feel a little slow... lol sleep deprivation I suppose. I read this early this morning:
from her Obit
http://www.baileyfh.net/obituary.aspx?MemberId=93224&MName=Celina

So, I think that is pretty conclusive that AL Jr does NOT live at Celina's home.

I also wonder why CC & her brother ALjr seem(ed) to
be close to their bio-dad, but KL (CC's sister), isn't.

I wonder where she is when other family memebers are
gathered together... or maybe I've seen her, but just didn't
recognize her. The only photo I have in my mind at the moment,
is her FB profile photo.

so if im getting this right, she would have been 12 in jan, so probably starting 7th grade or at least 6th grade...i could deff see her going out after her parents went to bed to meet friends, i know i did...all my friends did, we would meet on the corner and sit talk etc...especially living in a very small town, where every one knew everyone you would feel safe doing this...didn't i read somewhere here that on her facebook she had written something about liking someone or something similar to that...and also that some time before she had written about going for a walk and it was later, i'm guessing maybe that wasn't unusual, and perhaps a hint to her friends to meet outside...ya never know..kids are kids, it would not be unheard of, and would not make the parents bad, they probably didn't know...

I don't know that she went anywhere secretly or at sunrise or anything else. I also don't know anything about this family's habits, and I don't think many people outside the family and that small town do. Really, we (meaning the outsiders) know very little and it's all guesswork.

All I was saying by mentioning something she 'might' have done the following morning was that just because the clothing description is for what she was wearing the previous night doesn't mean she didn't put on pajamas and go to bed at some point. I offered the swimming/fishng thing as just an example of how a kid could have on the same clothes the next day.

I get where you are coming from. And I think plenty says he may be the suspect. But here is contrary evidence to that.
He was the first one questioned, and they questioned him a long time, then released him. Rumors on FB do say that he took and "passed" a polygraph. His truck, and the clothing inside was of extreme interest, early on. Since that time, they have focused on a different vehicle as well (maybe because they couldn't find anything after tearing his apart?)
He is described as having lived with CC as her brother, and my interpretation of what I read on FB is that he lived with CC and her family since his Dad and LN were involved. He may have only been living there "a little while" recently because he was in prison for awhile, and may have moved in recently when he got out.
He has no record of violent criminal behavior.

The Noyes family, OTOH has several known SO's. I think that history gets me more suspicious so far than KM's does. But, jmo. Either way, I think it's all a guess right now until we have more to go on.

Let me try that again........I mean the SF looks different in those pics. Has he had a haircut?

But Celina was going into FIFTH grade. I think she must have started school late . It must have been kind of tough being so tall and older than the other classmates. But since the school was so small they were probably clumped together 4th/5th together anyway.
