Someone mentioned earlier that the basement could be important for a few different reasons. They made some good points that I hadn't considered. Most important, I think, is that direct access to the outdoors means a person could enter the basement bedroom and never be noticed by anyone.

I believe I read that Celina's sister was at a friend's house that night. What about the other people living there? Would anyone else have been up and moving around after the SF claims to have seen her that evening? Do we know the last person to go to bed?

Even more important than getting INTO the house without being seen...

I think that if it was someone already in the house... if there was an outside door in the basement which was functional... someone could get OUT of the house with a body, without being noticed by the other occupants of the house.

While if you had to take a body through the house, you'd have a lot harder time doing that without being heard or seen.

The same would apply of course for someone who also had to come into the house and then get back out without being seen.

I think so too. I'm a day late and a dollar short, and just heard the news that Celina was found wrapped in a blanket. My gut is telling me that either the SF or the other adult male had something to do with this (again, my opinion only).

Celina killed in the home, wrapped in a blanket, transported to the car, then to the dam.

Now the who, when, and why???

In a rural area like Stewartstown, I doubt there's a single security camera anywhere in the area. Keep in mind that this is a sparsely populated area where many people leave their doors unlocked at night and keys in the car. I live in southern New Hampshire which is much more heavily populated and still there are plenty of people here who do the same.

I don't understand why the press is virtually ignoring the fact that Kevin Mullaney lives in that house. Nearly all the reports I've read say Celina lived with her sister, her mother and her step father and never mention Mullaney. A few refer to him living there but not many. And even fewer refer to him by name. It just seems strange to me that when something like this occurs and you have a 23 year old ex convict as part of the household, he gets very little mention in the press.

While it's possible that Celina put up a fight, the reality is that an 11-year-old girl would stand very little chance against an adult male and only a slightly better chance against an adult female.

No, I don't think Celina stood much of a chance against an adult either. Personally, I don't think she would've fought back at all against an authority figure. From descriptions of Celina's personality, she was a submissive and timid girl. I do think, though, she tried to escape when she was attacked, but was easily overpowered.

On this WS site -is there-for this tragic case--

a google earth map?

A timeline?

Thanks-if you can point me towards any info, I'll go quietly before I turn in.

Angels watch over you, everyone! Sweet dreams...

If you look towards the very beginning of one of the threads there should be an awesome timeline done by Hollye, or if you message her she could probably point you in the right direction. :)

There could be a reason why he is not being mentioned all that much.

I'm wondering if an autopsy can determine whether someone died of suffocation? Are there tell-tale signs? Since there was no obvious cause of death found during Celina's autopsy, I wonder if Celina might have died after she was wrapped in the blanket? Could she have still been alive even when she was lowered into the water - would the autopsy have shown unmistakeable signs of drowning, if so? Would there, perhaps, be more water in the lungs if a person died by drowning than if the body were submerged in water after death?

Anyone who can answer these questions, TIA.

No and really dislike saying this but mom had a blanket over her head mostly. I did see her without it in a picture posted earlier with NN, SF, AL around her with the redhead we aren't sure of (been in and out sorry if that's been decided on already). But naw, I haven't seen her arms to say or if she was in a fight with anyone. I do not think her mom has anything to do with her demise though.

I seen the mom with the blanket ...That was weird and not sure what the purpose was????

Welcome to everyone even newer than i am!

The new questions about LN's covering herself with a blanket, and CC being found wrapped in blanket(s), remind me of reading that a killer known to his victim will often cover the victim's face or body post-mortem to try to depersonalize the crime. Hard to imagine that LN herself would have said or thought "I need to cover myself with a blanket," in her state of distress, even as a way to hide from the media. I would think she would simply have covered her face with one or both hands. And hard to imagine LE, even if they were friends with her, would have said "Cover the mom with a blanket to shield her from the media." So who might have thought of the blanket on LN? I'm just jarred by the irony, or maybe my coffee is too strong.

As for Facebook: CC had a FB page. I wonder how recently she had created it; I'm figuring fairly recently (summer fun type of thing). She might have checked out SF's very open FB for the first time and found the multitude of his so-to-say alluring female "friends," gotten upset, and confronted him or threatened to tell mom. The reaction to that very real threat would have elicited a very strong and angry reaction.

Close up of the slanted area. It looks at first glance like a shop light, hairbrush, microphone, but most likely a SAR tool? Sorry for my cropped photoshop pic. The LE were focused in this area.

Maybe someone mentioned this already, but if this is from the shot before they brought her up, I assumed this was some sort of SAR cable. And somehow it's attached to her/securing her so that she doesn't shift/move before they have the equipment to bring her up. Or it's attached to *something* underwater that's holding/has to do with whatever underwater CSI equipment they may have. :waitasec:

As for Facebook: CC's had a FB page. WN and other's pages are open, and no doubt were open the night she disappeared. I wonder if her own FB was recently opened (summer fun type of thing). She might have checked out WN's FB for the first time and found the multitude of his so-to-say alluring female "friends," gotten upset, and confronted him or threatened to tell mom.

That's a possibility. But it's hard to imagine that WN would leave his page open if he didn't want anyone in the family to see it. I noticed before CC's page was taken down, that WN and her were not friends but WN and KM were.

Wow! Didn't mean to offend you but I wasn't totally talking about abortion. I was talking about the discounted value of all human life.

My apologies.

No offense meant either, as I was referring to the value of all life as being precious. skier

Do we have any confirmation that a helicopter was used to remove CC's body from the river?

The ME can usually determine quite easily if a person drowned. If a person drowns, the lungs are filled with water. If a body is placed in the water after death, no water in the lungs.

Any idea why LN was pictured in a wheelchair? I saw a photo of her from January or so and she looked healthy, happy and standing.

Unless she never imagined that her "old" SF would even be on FB, and then found him by accident or on a tip from a friend/family member.

As I said, she may have just gotten into FB recently. She didn't have that many friends or that much activity, IIRC. It might have dawned on her that night to look at friends of friends (rellies maybe) and she thus found SF. If we're all appalled, imagine how an 11 y/o would have felt. Kids view morality as an absolute; this person is way too close for her to find his page acceptable, IMO.

My experience with mentally ill people has been that they are often naive in an almost childlike way, about certain things.

Good morning all. I hope you had a restful night. I can't get my mind off of all the things that have happened in the last two weeks. The death of that 2 year old really bothers me. And of course the loss of Celina.

Question: Does anymone know if the water stops its flow at the area where Celina's body was found? In other words does it pool there? Or if she had not been found when she was, would the body go over the dam? tia

Well there was this :slapfight: which lead to this :bigfight: which lead to this :tos: and then some this :chillout: along with this :deadhorse: but there was occasional this  and perhaps one or two of these :grouphug:

As far as the case goes, nothing new to report. Sorry!

Very clever Magdalyn!! I laughed out loud, well done! skier

I sure hope the MSM will leave the town alone today...and let them have their festival in relative peace. But OTOH I hope LE is invisible in the background keeping an eye out, ya know?
