A body was found floating in a swampy area in Claremont on Thursday morning, police said.

Police said they received a report at 11:25 a.m. about a body in an inlet from the Sugar River behind Spofford Street. The body of the middle-age male was transported to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy on Friday.

Body found in swamp identified

A body found floating in a swampy area in Claremont has been identified. The police said Richard Foster, 25, of Claremont had been missing since late March. His body was found Thursday morning in an inlet from the Sugar River behind Spofford Street. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of death but say there was no sign of trauma. 0
