When Nicole Kasinskas returned home, she had trouble getting into the kitchen. The door would not open all the way. Her mother's body was blocking it.
The kitchen door was ajar "because she was right there," Kasinskas testified Thursday. "At first, I only saw her left foot."
Kasinskas, 18, was testifying for the second day in Hillsborough County Superior Court in the trial of her boyfriend, William Sullivan of Willimantic, Conn. Sullivan, 20, is accused of fatally beating and stabbing Kasinskas' mother, Jeanne Dominico, on Aug. 6, 2003.
Kasinskas has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for her testimony.
