''DOVER, N.H. —
Thirty-three years ago, a mother of five and cocktail server who loved to sing was found dead near train tracks in Dover, and her case remains unsolved.
The death of Sheila Holmes is one of two unsolved homicides in Dover, according to the attorney general's office.
"It will be 33 years tomorrow," said her sister, Cindy Allard. "She was very popular. She was a very kind person. A very sweet person."
Allard said Holmes loved her job at the St. Jean Club, where she waited tables and sang. Allard described it as kind of like Dover's own "Cheers," where everybody knew your name.
"You felt pretty safe until you weren't, and that is probably how she felt around people that knew her, loved her," Allard said.
Allard said Holmes stayed a little late at the club the night she was killed before getting into her boyfriend's truck to pick him up from work. She never made it. Her body was found outside the truck, with $40 still in her pocket.''
''Not long ago, a man called News 9 trying to reach Holmes' sister, saying he had information in the case. His contact information was lost, and Allard said she hopes he sees this story.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Dover Police Department at 603-742-4646.''
