A Columbia man will serve up to 40 years in prison for sex abuse of a young girl.
Nickalaus Stoutzenberger’s crimes will impact the girl for the rest of her life, Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn told him while ordering a 16 ½-to-40-year state prison term.
Stoutzenberger, 24, was sentenced Monday, three months after a jury convicted him of three charges, including a first-degree felony count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.
Manor Township police previously reported the abuse occurred in Washington Boro when the girl was between 5 and 7 years old.
The victim testified at trial about the abuse, and Czerniakowski also presented a transcript of an online chat Stoutzenberger had with another person regarding the conduct.

Nickalaus Stoutzenberger claimed a nurse shouldn't have been allowed to testify at his trial concerning the victim's personal hygiene.
Child molester gets no break on prison term
A nurse's testimony about the victim's personal hygiene was properly used as evidence against a Lancaster County man who is in state prison for molesting a 6-year-old girl, a state Superior Court panel has concluded.
The court's ruling, issued this week, condemns Nickalaus B. Stoutzenberger to keep serving his 16 1/2- to 40-year jail term.
