Nine-year-old Isabel Grace Franks has died on an Oregon beach after the walls of a hole she and other children had dug collapsed on her. The accident happened Friday afternoon.
Isabel was buried alive for several minutes, despite desperate attempts by family and rescuers to dig her out. CPR was performed before she was rushed to a hospital in Lincoln City, but tragically, Isabel died.
Firefighters said Isabel and her family are from the city of Sandy.
