N.J. woman apologized for stabbing 4-year-old multiple times, police say

Mabel Campechano, of Paterson, is charged with first-degree attempted murder in the stabbing of a 4-year-old girl.

Mabel Campechano, 27, of Paterson, is charged with first-degree attempted murder in the attack shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 23 at a home in the city on 10th Avenue.

the girl’s father Faherem LaSane said he was “dumbfounded” and “shocked” by the attack. He identified his daughter as Amber and said that the stabbing left her with a punctured lung and liver.

Praying Amber makes a full recovery. There is some concern she may never have the use of her leg below the knee according to one article. I hope that is not the case. She must have been so terrified.
