Many blessings to Bonita and her family, they have been through so much. It's nice to see Bonita is in the hearts of her family. Even though her sister would have been a baby at the time, someone made sure she knew about Bonita. Maybe someday mom will have a change of heart, let Bonita come home.

The mom must know something, this reminds me of little lucy meadows, whose mom says someone stole her from the grocery cart, when really she killed her. she was never found.

Things must have been different back then, but it grieves me that when she attempted abandonment of baby, she wasn't just placed for adoption; the same with the baby boy. Why hunt her down and force her to take a child she didn't want.
Imagine how different Bonita's life would have been in a loving, adoptive family.

It is more than clear that the mother is an unhappy 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 who never wanted to have children... for some reason she was leaving them behind and the worst of all is that the authorities and the laws always give custody to the mother no matter what. .. and the father always wanted to be with his daughter... I think the same as the police who was murdered between 6 and 7 in the afternoon and was buried or thrown in a nearby garbage dump... I hope that woman rots in hell... and it has nothing to do with her name... Bonita...( in Spanish beauty) ugly inside, terrible human being...
Rest in peace Bonita Karen

Circumstances of Disappearance

On September 14, 1986, Sanders was strapped in her stroller, sucking a Popsicle on her mother's porch on the 900 block of Baltic Avenue in Atlantic City. Inside, her mother, Bonita Sanders, cooked dinner as her other children played in a nearby lot. Minutes later, between 18.00 and 19.00, Bonita Sanders later told police, she looked outside and the stroller was empty. She said she searched, but to no avail.

Sanders's father was immediately eliminated as a suspect. At 20, Bonita Sanders (mother) allegedly walked out of a hospital and abandoned Sanders when she was born. A month after Sanders' disappearance, she abandoned a baby boy months after pretending to her boyfriend that she'd had an abortion.

In January 1987, she was sentenced to nine months in jail for endangering the welfare of a child; her three children were placed in other homes. At sentencing, a prosecutor said Sanders lied during their investigation into Bonita's disappearance, changed stories, provided false leads and never inquired about the investigation. Sanders' father was seeking custody of her when she disappeared.

In 2009, family had Bonita Sanders declared deceased, but her body has not been found.

<<African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Bonita Karen has an abdominal hernia scar. She also has a scar on her the joint of left wrist. One of Bonita Karen's hands is slightly deformed and curves inward. She is left-handed. Her nickname is Nita.>>

<<Bonita checked into Atlantic City Medical Center under the alias "Laura Smith" to deliver and was discharged on October 7, 1986. Bonita apparently then left with her newborn son and took a cab to an Atlantic City bus terminal. She boarded a bus to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and left the baby lying face-down in a terminal restroom in Atlantic City, where he was rescued shortly thereafter.

Bonita was sentenced to nine months in jail for endangering the welfare of a child in January 1987 and her three other children were placed in foster homes. She was paroled after five months, but served another 15 months when she was arrested for shoplifting baby clothes while on parole.>>

<<In 2009, authorities began searching a wooded area in Pleasantville, New Jersey for Bonita Karen's remains. Reportedly, Bonita's best friend went to police and said Bonita had buried her daughter there.

Nothing was recovered at the search site, however, and investigators discontinued their efforts after a week. A forensic anthropologist noted that given Bonita Karen's age and the time that has passed since her disappearance, it's possible that even if her body had been there at one time there would be no trace of it now.>>
