NJ NJ - Geraldine Lovenguth, 92, not rep missing for a few years, poss was in a nursing home or assisted living app in Clark, 2021-2022

Ms. Lovenguth was possibly being cared for at a Nursing Home or senior assisted living in Clark, NJ. The last person known to care for her was her son who is now deceased. It is unknown when and how her disappearance occurred.

This is odd. What happened to Geraldine? If she went missing or died while at the nursing home, why didn't the nursing home notify the family?

I wonder if she was on Social Secuity. Those payments continue until a recipient is deceased, and someone would have to report her death. I believe the payments are by direct deposit in almost all cases now.

This is a very strange case. According to NamUs, the last contact was in November 2022.

Her name is engraved on her husband’s grave, dob 1929, no dod.

Well I could understand how if her son passed away, and maybe she had no other family, that no one on the outside of the assisted living facility would know she was missing...but wouldn't the people on the inside know? This is sad.

Well she has for sure other family, otherwise her disappearance wouldn t have been detected/ questioned right?!
Having said so, I remember of another case of a missing woman that was later found unidentified due to an administrative error, in a hospital morgue, her parents and LE had been searching for her without success after the hospital claimed she had left.
Under covid times was indeed the caos everywhere so could be she is somewhere unidentified and that there has been a miscommunication as the son she was living with died. I hope her family can find answers and closure soon.
Now the question is: her living in son passed in 2024, she was last heard of end 2022. What did she communicate end 2022 about her whereabouts. How is it possible that LE states she may have been in a nursing home in or around Clark NJ, there aren’t that many so IMO quite easy to check records. There aren’t many possibilities IMO: either she was living at her house where she lived for 40 years, with her son, or she was in a nursing home/ assisted liv facility not far away. Or she passed and her son hid it for whatever reason. But then where is she.
What do neighbours have to say ? The doctors? Any prescriptions? How healthy was she ? Was she walking or wheelchair bound?
A lot of unknowns.

Or the nursing home is protecting themselves? Maybe mom and son didn't speak?
