VINELAND — Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a mother and daughter who went missing on Monday.

According to a post on the Vineland Police Department Facebook page, 34-year-old Jennifer Kallaur and her 3-year-old daughter were reported missing on Dec. 18.

Kallaur is described as being 5-foot-7 and approximately 105 lbs. The child is described as having brown hair. Police did not release the 3-year-old's name.

Anyone with information on Kallaur's whereabouts is asked to contact the Vineland Police Department at 856-691-411 x 4202 or 856-696-1212.

Police in Vineland are trying to find a mother and her 3-year-old daughter who were reported missing not long after coming to the city from Florida.

Det. Chris Brunetta said that Jennifer Kallaur, 34, came to care for a relative in Vineland, bringing her daughter with her from Florida, but left the house and was eventually reported missing Monday.

He said she may have been missing for as much as a few weeks before her absence was reported.

Brunetta said detectives believe Kallaur is in Vineland or not far from it, as they've spoken to people who reported seeing her.

Why so long to report them missing? Shouldn't they have noticed that something was very wrong when she did not return to fulfill her obligation to care for someone? Or, is this sort of behavior not out of the ordinary? Even though she had come from FL I wonder if she was familiar with the area?
