This makes me sick to my stomach! What a monster!!
There was also a younger sibling in the home if I remember correctly. I hate to think that child may have suffered similar abuse.

The mayor said East Orange had already created a School Peer Counseling Certification Program in collaboration with Seton Hall University. He noted the city also has the Recreation and Safe Haven P.A.L. programs. The 24/7 communications platform will be a new resource for troubled children and teens.

“We are grateful for [the girl’s] safe return and now we are focused on the recovery and healing of her entire family,” the mayor said.

The community drive flyer said the 14-year-old girl takes a size medium or large in women’s clothing, and a 7.5 women’s shoe size .Her little brother is size 5-6T in clothing and takes a size 10 toddler in shoes.


Moore, 40, was scheduled to appear virtually in Essex County Superior Court Wednesday morning, but the hearing was adjourned until next week. She remains in detention at the Essex County Correctional Facility.

A hearing related to her case was held in Newark on Wednesday morning. She did not appear in court but her lawyer asked for the hearing to be adjourned because he has not been able to meet with Moore yet due to her incarceration.

I always felt uneasy about the mother but didn't say anything because she was a victim. At first I thought it was strange that whenever she was on camera she had taken care with her make-up and even took time to put on her false eyelashes -- that was shallow and judgmental of me, and I would probably be critical of someone else thinking the same thing.

What really made me think that she might have something to hide was when she was so outraged that the FBI had taken her phone, and she felt that she was being discriminated against. Of course we know that it is routine for LE to confiscate the electronic devices of the parents of missing children, and most parents are willing to do anything that will help further the investigation.

I hope that JM will get all of the help and support she needs.

Originally she went to the store at 7:30 AM. Then lost the food stamp card. Went home and told mom who told her to retrace her steps. Let's say that brings it to 8:15? She then with a man purchases juice and candy he paid for. She didn't get the paper towels her mom requested.

JMO she was going to school that day. Then all this happened.

Lord knows what happened in say that extra hour before showing up at another deli? So that would bring it to near ten. Meanwhile her mom already called the law and was looking all over the neighborhood for her.

Yes, here the kids go in later so running to the corner store wouldn't be out of the norm.

Man, going to the shelter was better than going home without that card. Immensely brave, but frightened girl. Hopefully her a d her brother get all the resources they need.

Reading all that abuse? I'm grown and I'd be afraid to set that woman off.

I’m guessing it will: Stressed & exhausted, she had her daughter care for her son. I’m guessing there’s plenty of evidence that the abuse pre-dates the diagnosis, fortunately. JMO.
