John Gilbride, age 34, was gunned down on September 26, 2002 in Maple Shade, NJ. He was a father, a son, a brother and an uncle.

He had just pulled up and parked his car (a Crown Victoria) in front of his apartment building named Ryan's Run after working at USAIR. It was raining very hard. Someone saw a car pull away and a 911 caller said that a car was sitting outside her apartment unit with the headlights shining into her room and blaring music from the car radio.

It has been 17 years. No arrests. John Gilbride died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

In the making of a podcast on a different person this story has come to light and there is a family that has been waiting 17 years for answers and justice for John Gilbride.

That is one of the theories but the case is cold. Somebody saw something that night and/or heard something about it. Maybe this forum will spark interest and someone will have a lightbulb moment.

I suspect that there are certain cases that will never be officially solved because of political correctness. At the time, LE was terrified of MOVE, and had every right to be. I've read that the son has been brainwashed by the group and disowned his father. Which is a shame, because I remember how much John loved that little boy. The custody fight played out in local news (so no I didn't know him personally) but I remember the interviews etc. Such a shame. He really did try to get LE to help protect him, and he knew he was going to be killed.
