So sad. The bands of weather were on the radar headed his way before he set out. I'm always puzzled by people that do outdoors activities because "the sun's out!" when there is threatening weather less than an hour away. Radar Data Map | GIS Maps | National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) If you look at the Tom River area at 1700 GMT it was a pretty good band of weather.
