So, his remains were found? Your post was unclear, it said attempted, then found.
I have skeletal remains I am trying to get a lead on and some of his physical characteristics are a match

His NamUs page is still up, so I think he is still missing.

I took that statement from the article to mean that he had been found after his suicide attempt six weeks prior to his March 2017 disappearance. I could be wrong though, English is not my first language.

Unfortunately NamUs is not always updated as it should be. I believe it is up to the investigating agency to remove the listing. I had followed up on quite a few where the person was no longer missing.
But, thank you for clarifying.

Really frustrating they don't say what intersection the license plate was captured, every bit of info helps.
Added him to a map of missing people with vehicles.. there's a very similar case in the same town from 1978, William Howard Gerald, Jr. Just kind of interesting.

In 2023, Doug Bishop (of Adventures with Purpose at the time) searched several locations including the Maurice River Bridge, CRW, Mosquito Landing, Jakes Landing, Cape May Canal, a location in Avalon.

Includes a bit more info like what the letter said, the specific spots he was last seen / license plate was read. Seems like he was heading northbound from Rio Grande.
