$510K spilled from armored truck, $300K still missing

Money rained down on a New Jersey highway Thursday morning after a malfunction caused the door of a Brinks armored truck to become unsecured, and now, police say nearly $300,000 is missing.

The incident led to several crashes as motorists exited their vehicles and scrambled to pick up the cash, with roughly a half million dollars spilling onto the roadway.

Police say the investigation determined that two plastic bags containing $140,000 and $370,000, respectively, had fallen through the open door onto the roadway, causing the bags to open.

$300K Still Missing From Armored Truck Spill In NJ, Cops Say

Police say the majority of more than a half-million dollars that flew out of an armored truck near MetLife Stadium on Thursday is still missing.

Nearly $300,000 seems to have up and vanished, or at least blown away.

Five people returned about $11,000 of the cash, and police say anyone with any of that money is required to return it.

If missing monies, had been found, hope it had been distributed, as it seems it was not handed into Police.
Hope 'down and outs' have had access to any of this missing monies, a Christmas treat for them.
Helping the poor, for Christmas, would be ideal.

But, I would guess, this is against the Law.
But these poor folk, would not know, of their sudden gifts for Christmas.
