Naivasha is a place in Kenya.
Catatonic schizophrenia?
Catatonic trauma response?
Or, could be side effect of infectious disease or neurological disorder. Only tests could help narrow down.

Amateur opinion and speculation.

I know this sounds crazy, can we compare this guy to Missing Scot Liam?

Steven Lowery, missing from Florida, has similar curly hair:

But heights don't match, and I think their chins are too different-- I don't see a scar on the man in the hospital. Plus Steven is only 14.
(If anyone want to submit Steven, please go ahead, I'm only suggesting here)

The unidentified has full lips; Stevens are thin. Both have lovely curls though; you are right.

This one has me transfixed. I am seeing “processing” in those eyes. I am leaning heavily to underlying neurological issue perhaps brought on by virus or infection. I think he is trapped, knows what is going on.
Praying for him to be revived to a fully responsive state, and soon!

Enchephalitis?

IMO, it's hard to compare lips when one has a tight closed mouth smile and the other has a relaxed open mouth but you're right that seems like another difference.

Could it be a drug induced situation. What leads someone to stop talking/responding. I know a lot can, but this seems so odd. What have they been treating him at the hospital for and how was he first found?

He was identified as Michael Paparella, 21,of Staten Island, NY. http://paramus.dailyvoice.com/polic...ied-new-bridge-medical-center-patient/733474/

The above article currently says he "may have been identified":
PARAMUS, N.J. -- ( UPDATE ) A non-responsive man with a distinctive tattoo who remained hospitalized at New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus may have been identified.

A Facebook post by the New Jersey State Police late Monday afternoon drew the attention of a friend who identified the man as Michael Paparella, 21, of Staten Island.
Paparella previously went missing in May 2014 and was found less than a week later, according to the NYPD.
It's the name of a girl he once loved, said Maya Michelle, who lived across the street from him on Staten Island.

After being alerted by a friend, Michelle checked the State Police post and "noticed that tattoo."

"He showed me it one day. It’s on his chest," she told Daily Voice. "I don’t know how I remember that tattoo but it just clicked

Michelle said that she'd reached out late Monday and was "just waiting for his family to message me back....I hope he's OK."

Sounds like it's him. Looking for LE confirmation.
