Detectivs say Hameed’s DNA matched blood from the crime scene.
He left the United States six months after the murders.
The FBI is now offering a $50,000 reward for his capture.''

A New Jersey father returned home from work in 2017 to find his wife and 6-year-old son brutally stabbed to death inside their Maple Shade apartment — and now authorities have identified a suspect after an eight-year investigation.

Sasikala Narra, 38, and her son, Anish, were found inside their Hamilton Road apartment on March 23, 2017. Her husband, Hanumanth “Hanu” Narra, discovered the scene when he returned home from his job, according to a press release from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO).

An autopsy later determined both victims died from multiple stab wounds, and Anish had been nearly decapitated; both victims also had defensive wounds, per the release.''

''A single drop of blood at a horrific crime scene has led police to the accused killer of a Maple Shade woman and her young son.''

''And the suspect, 38-year-old Nazeer Hameed, remains at large in his native India while efforts continue to secure his arrest and extradition, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.''

"These innocent victims were defenseless during this horrific attack,” Thornton said of the mother and child, who were fatally slashed across their throats. "The veteran officers and detectives who worked this case described the scene as the most brutal they have ever experienced in their careers. All are still impacted today."

''Hameed, who lived near the victims at the Fox Meadow apartment complex, left the United States about six months after the murders, authorities said. He was later identified as a person of interest after investigators learned he had stalked Hanumanth Narra, the husband and father of the victims, prior to the murders.''
