FRANKLIN, NJ — Authorities are searching for a missing endangered Franklin Township resident who was last seen just over a week ago in Somerville.

Shekinah D. Dover, 29, was reported missing by her mother on May 30 at around 4:59 p.m. to Franklin Township Police Department, said acting Somerset County Prosecutor Annmarie Taggart.

Investigating Franklin Township detectives saw Dover on surveillance video in the area of Bridge Street and Grove Street in Somerville at around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 29. She was last seen walking on Grove Street towards Main Street in Somerville, said Taggart.

On Tuesday, June 7, members of the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit were told of the ongoing missing person investigation and are helping Franklin Township Police.

Dover is described as being 5-foot-8-inches tall, and about 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a sage green Nike hoodie sweatshirt, black leggings, burgundy flat shoes and a silver ring on her right finger.

Anyone with information on Dover's whereabouts are asked to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit at 908-231-7100 or the Franklin Township Police Department at 732-873-5533 or via the STOPit app. Information can also be provided through the Somerset County Crime Stoppers' Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS (8477).
