Press Release (12/16/22): Missing Endangered Person

The Hackettstown Police Department seeks the public's help in locating a missing endangered person:

Thomas F. Cyphers of Hackettstown, NJ, 68, W, M, 5’09, 141lbs, blue eyes, gray hair, and was wearing blue jeans, brown boots, and green/black checkered shirt.

He was last seen leaving Hackettstown Medical Center on Friday, December 16, 2022 between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and was heading southbound on Willow Grove Street (County Route 604) towards Main Street.

If anyone has any information that can assist in helping safely locate Thomas F. Cyphers, please call 911 or the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3300.

Hmm. This part of the article in the OP gives me pause "leaving Hackettstown Medical Center on Friday, December 16, 2022 between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m." Wow so early.

So was he an inpatient who got up and left, or was he someone who was waiting to be seen (emergency room, etc.)? It looks like the overnight low there Friday was 31 degrees, the overnight low on Saturday night was 24 and tonight's forecast overnight low is 25 degrees. Brrr.

The description of what he was wearing does not include a coat, so hopefully he went with someone and is somewhere safe, otherwise this one is super concerning (JMO).
